Telehealth Counseling Across Washington State
Child, Marriage & Family Counseling offers telehealth — secure video counseling sessions — to teens and adults anywhere in Washington State, alongside in-person sessions at our Spokane Valley office.
Counseling that fits real schedules
Between school, work, practice, and Spokane winters, getting everyone to an office at 4pm on a Tuesday is sometimes the hardest part of therapy. Telehealth removes that barrier: same counselor, same session, from wherever you are in Washington.
Who telehealth works best for
- Teens — sessions from their own room, no ride needed; some teens open up more easily on video
- Adults — lunch-break sessions, no commute, no waiting room
- Rural and out-of-area clients — full access to our counselors from anywhere in Washington
For children under about 11, we recommend in-person play therapy — the playroom is the point.
How it works
- Schedule as usual — call your counselor or send a message
- Receive a secure video link before your session
- Find a private spot, click, and begin

Common questions
- Is telehealth counseling as effective as in-person?
- For talk-based counseling with teens and adults, research consistently finds video sessions comparable to in-person care for common concerns like anxiety and depression. Play-based work with young children is generally better in person, which is why we recommend office visits for our youngest clients.
- What do I need for a telehealth session?
- A private space, a reliable internet connection, and a phone, tablet, or computer with a camera. Your counselor will send a secure video link before each session.
- Can you see me if I live outside Spokane?
- Yes — our counselors can see clients located anywhere in Washington State via telehealth. State licensure rules mean we generally cannot see clients located outside Washington.
- Does insurance cover telehealth?
- Most plans we accept cover telehealth counseling the same as in-person visits. We'll help you verify your coverage before the first session.
