Individual Adult Counseling in Spokane Valley, WA
Child, Marriage & Family Counseling provides individual counseling for adults in Spokane Valley, WA, for anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, parenting stress, and major life transitions — in person or by telehealth across Washington.
Counseling for the adult carrying it all
Plenty of our adult clients arrive as the parent of a kid we see — and realize mid-stream that they’re carrying their own load. Others come on their own for anxiety that won’t quiet down, a flat gray depression, old trauma resurfacing, or a life transition that pulled the floor out. Whatever the door, individual counseling is time that is only about you.

Common questions
- I've never been to therapy. What actually happens in a session?
- Mostly, you talk with someone trained to listen well and ask useful questions. Early sessions cover what brought you in and what you want to change; after that, you and your counselor work toward those goals with approaches matched to your situation, such as CBT for anxious thought patterns.
- How long does counseling take?
- It depends on your goals. Some concerns resolve in a couple of months of weekly sessions; deeper work takes longer. You set the pace with your counselor, and you can stop or pause at any time.
- Can I do sessions by video?
- Yes — we offer telehealth to adults anywhere in Washington State, alongside in-person sessions at our Spokane Valley office.
